Greetings. I am a new member with some questions.

92 Ranger 6 c. 3.0. 49,500 miles
Just replaced the water pump, now temp gauge is running high.
have to run heater to cool it down? Mech. says I need to replace
the timing chain and cover. Sound right to anyone?

I have a 92 Ranger 6 c. 3.o with 49,030.
Just had the water pump changed out.
Now my temp gage is running high and I have to run the heater
to bring it down. Mech. says my timing cover and chain needs
to be replaced. Sound right to you?
