I have hesitation on a 1996 4.0 222K miles. I have changed the plugs, wires, pcv, fuel filter, air filter and mas. Still has hesitation. Took it to the mechanic twice. First it was a temp sensor that was causing the hesitation $105. Took it back again this time it was supposedly low compression on a cylinder $140. Everything I've read on motor hesitation on a ranger is what I have changed. I'm asking would a supposed low compression on a cylinder cause this hesitation? Too add once I get past 2500rpm it runs like a champ!
