When I took mine off, I had to push the sticks boot out of the way. I then unscrewed the plastic cup holder from the floor. after that you simply lift the cover off, and a small T10 bolt should be located at the base of the stick. If you are wondering about the actual knob, you cannot take that off. Sorry about the long reply.

Hey man! Saw your reply to my post. Noticed the pic of the shift knob, do you know how to get the stock ones off and replace with a screw on? Found one at the scrap yard but no idea how to swap em.
