Picture The Console
6/9/12 to 6/23/12
Wasnt a big fan of column mounted auto shifters. I wanted to put a floor shifter in.
To do this, I decided to build a custom console. Yeah, I coulda went with the sploder transplant, but it seemed too "Stock"
Materials: a sheet of 1/2 MDF, a stainless door kick panel, a couple of sink drains, and some hardware.
Before I could build the console, I had to make the seats into buckets.
That's a whole beast unto itself. Basically I just unbolted the seats, and flipped them up onto the tailgate
and commenced to cutting with a nice sharp knife and a sawz-all.
I had to do a lil stitching to clean em up, but it went pretty fast.
check out the pix and if you have any questions, please PM me! :-)
