Hey no problem. Sometimes the simplest tasks elude us. OK, now I if I remember correctly, there is a roll pin mounted to the tensioner that the spring pushes against. Hook your pry bar on it, and the tip between the roller and the belt. Push against the roller, and the belt will slip easily. Remember, auto mechanics is not rocket science. And steel is very forgiving. Hope this helps.
