I have a 2002 mustang as well....if I did it I would have to do it in the summer...however my engine is still good ATM....so if I had the space/tools/money I could build while I drive umtill I'm ready for install.. Any modification need done to the truck to make a 5.0 work? Apron how much to do a full rebuild like you did? Will stock tranny and 4.10 rear end work with it?
