nope i put the bulbs in and they both worked fine. but i read over the diagram again and found the wires to the switch were in different locations. on my switch the middle prong says like power and the upper and lower say acc. so i put the wire from the fusebox in the middle and the reverse and relay wire top and bottom. i switched it to fuse on top, relay (ON) in middle, and reverse wire on bottom. it now works when i put it in reverse but not in the ON position.

the relay doesnt click when you switch it to auto or anything when the trans is in reverse either. i checked my connections and thats all i can think of is the bulbs. both are out so none of that is grounded

ok so i wired it up like your 3 way switch on, off, auto. so i tapped into the hot on my factory reverse bulb and pulled the bulb out. it doesnt work automatically. does the bulb need to be for it to work and complete the circuit?
    thanks

hey ive got a question for ya. im planning on running some auxhilary reverse lights with some new tails im gettting and the aux lights are 55watt. in your diagram a light like that needs a 20 amp fuse from the battery in-line, and then a 20 amp relay. i accidentally bought both of those things but in 30 amp. will that be ok to use? thanks
