Good evening, my ranger is a 99 with about 331000 miles , no lie. Trans has been rebuilt about 18k miles ago. It has wear on it for its miles, have replaced a number of worn out parts as to be expected. But this issue has me stumped.I have just encountered a trans problem, 4wd issue. I do not want to start with a help intro , but this is my work truck. I am not able to disengage 4wd low an dthere is no indication of it being in gear. prior to this happening i drow it a couple of miles in ice covered roads at maax speed, you could feel it holding back. When i restarted it the 2 4wd lights stratined to flash and also tho OD off light did too. If any of you care to reply , an shed some light on my problem, That would really be nice.
