Lets assume for a moment that I am using the rear differential out of my 2003 Ford Ranger for a trike.
    Its 8.8 (4:11) with Drums.
Today the bearings are lubricated by the diff oil. However, since I am using the tubes, endplate and axles, I assume I can use the bearing ans seals too.
So here is my question, can I hand pack the bearings with heavy grease or should I try to locate Timkin sealed bearings.
PS, the ring seal when out, allowing dust to eat pinion bearing. I replaced the rear-end with one from a wrecking yard, thus I’m cutting this one up.
    Any advice would be appreciated.
