Hi Im new here, so here goes. I have a 1996 Ford Ranger with a 2.3 L4,with a t3t3 turbo innercooler, down pipes,8 spark plug head,ported polished, custom 490 lift cam, L56 valve springs, 60 lb injectors,2551 walbro fuel pump,custom upper intake manifold,75 mm throttle body,90 mm M A F,stock valves, 5 speed trans with a 6 puck clutch.has a 2000 ecu. the machine shop told me that I needed to retard the timing because it is getting pre ignition. The pistons have alot of play. Im having it bored out .30 over. Im trying to find out what I can do about this cheap. Or if that is even true that you have to turn the timing back to run the turbo.......PLEASE HELP.. what can I do? Can I send the ecu off and have it turned into a turbo ecu?
