My 1997 ford ranger xlt 4x4 super cab with a 4.0 V6 manual 5 speed with a K&N cold air filter system and Helix high tower throttle body spacer.. I'm the 4th owner of this awesome lifted machine.. I bought my ranger from a friend i work with for a low 3,000 dollars.. The ranger had only 116,767 original miles when i bought it 2 years ago.. When i bought the truck it had a few minor problems i had to fix.. I put nearly 3,600 more dollars in it just to get it back to almost perfect condition.. I added alot of extras to make the ranger the sharpest in my local area.. It's a head turner now with all the cool accessories that i added.. I've put AVS head light and taillight covers, AVS bug sheild and side window rain covers, AVS rear side window louvers and a rear window deflector.. I added the diamond plate bed rail caps and tailgate cap plus the diamond plate tool box.. I was able to find alot of the stuff i needed on ebay, like the nos front tag holder and rear tailgate oval ford emblem plus the aluminum 4x4 3rd brakelight cover.. The ranger is lifted so high that i put on stainless steel nerf bars and a rear tow hitch rino stainless steel nerf bar with step, to help get up in this jacked up monster lol.. Plus i installed a new Aries bull bar!! The ranger had a rusted out muffler and chrome exhaust tip so i replaced with a new series 10 flowmaster racing muffler, dual exhaust and stainless steel exhaust tips which was 75.00 bucks each.. I found a real good deal on ebay on tires and bought 33/12.50r15 BF Goodrich A/T KO tires for 750 bucks and free shipping.. The lift kit was done years ago by the original owner when he moved to CA.. He told me it was a high dollar lift job which he had done to baja race in the CA sand dunes.. The front suspenion lift is 4" inches and rear suspenion lift blocks are 2 1/2" inches.. The body has a 3" inch lift which also helps put this thing in the sky!! Also it has james duff arms underneath to helps keep a much smoother ride.. The front shocks are fox racing and the springs are super lift.. It's also got a drop pittman arm.. The trucks original rearend was not gonna work right with all the motifications and was redone with 456 gears, also it has warn manual hubs that replaced the original factor hubs.. I replaced the wheel bearings, ball joints and tie rods ends so it should be good to go awhile!! The 2nd owner added purple underneath Streetglow lights which wasn't working when i got it.. But i was able to trace down the problem and get them working again.. I didn't have to do a whole lot to the inside but i did add some extras like, New r racing floor mats and steering wheel cover.. A new stereo dash bezel because the old one was broke.. The sound system i installed is a pioneer DEH-X9600BHS CD RDS Receiver and a Polk Audio PA660 4 channel amp that pushes the Polk Audio MM571 5x7 full range rear speakers and the Polk Audio MM5251 5 1/4" front component speakers!! I've installed two Polk Audio MM 1040 10" inch subs and a Polk Audio PA D1000.1 mono amp.. The downfire sub box is made by Audio Enhancers which fits perfectly in my ranger.. All wiring, cables and Capacitor is Rockford Fosgate.. This sound system was over 1600.00 but well worth it.. I also added blue LED underneath seat lights that looks totally awesome glowing on the floor board at night!! I put blue LED blue light bulbs in the domelight as well.. To top it off i added Dixie airhorns to alert people that this bad ass truck is on it's way!!!!!
