Hello, I have a 2001 Ford Ranger, super cab, 4x4 xlt. Big Red currently has 150k miles on him . I just changed the transmission fluid and filter. I have done this before with no issues. Thinking everything was ok, I went ahead and drove on Monday, all was good until I felt it slip. Not knowing what the problem was, I checked the fluid and as it was a little low, I added some, thinking that was the problem. Today as I went to drive again, it slipped once more. I immediately returned home to see what the problem was. I asked a friend,he said that the same thing happened to him and asked about the O rings. I did not recall putting them on so went back to store. O rings should have been in box but were not. He gave me them and I went back and redrained the pan, installed the rings and put in new fluid, again. Question is, did the driving I did do any damage?
my friend said his did not have any problems after he did the same things, I just would like your thoughts.
