I have a drop in and it's ok. It works. Butt it's worn out my paint on the rails and top of the tailgate. That's what i don't like about 'em. I'd go with a spray in. There are a lot of do it your self ones that aren't too expensive.

In need of opinion – I live in Phoenix (currently) hot dry climate should I go with a drop in or spray on bedliner?
I like both, but I do like the added protection (dents) of the drop-in, but then you have the water retention and rusting problem.
Spray ons are harder and costly to have removed/repaired.
    What say you?
