maybe i will, idk the fork mounts are SUPER stable, i tested it with an old bike and took a hard turn, no worries there i dont use tie downs whatsoever with this set up

haha idk about the roof rack, its money i dont need to spend ya know? its tempting tho

and since the thread ends at a certain point, i doubt its short enough to stay in one place, i might put it between the two pieces of wood so it stays in one place

i think what im gonna do is get a upside down u bolt (they come with bars that go across the u bolt) and i can put the tire in the center of that, put the little metal piece over it bolt it down lightly. ill get a long one. like

the reason is because i could in theory use the board for other things and putting your rack on it permently might cause problems HOWEVER, i plan to maybe copy your idea and make my garage rack since mine is made of spare pvc parts so it looks like shit

To be honest i don't think so, But it all depends on what you want. I'm a wild land fire fighter. so i want my truck to represent that, a big bull guard, a roof rack and basket with lights all black black rims big tires. is what i plan on doing. It's not hard to put the rack on. But just make your truck you! hope this helps but no i don't think your over doing.
