Have 2003 Ranger. 3.0L FFV. Showing DTC code P0172 & P0175. Have an OBD2 scanner showing MAFS reading at .001 at idle and .003 at around 1800-2000 rpm. I'm wondering if these amp readings are low or indicating the MAFS is going bad. I can't find anything in my Haynes manual about amperage on this. Fuel trims on both bank 1 & 2 LtFT are reading -25. StFT fluctuates on both banks between -8 to -17. Can't find a vacuum leak anywhere but I'm an old man with poor eye sight and hearing not all that good either, so I'm trying to start with the small stuff I can work on and not pay some shop hundreds of dollars. OBD2 scanner says my O2 sensors are working properly. My neighbor said to replace the Evap purge valve. Cheap I guess and my OBD2 scanner does say the evap test failed. It makes a reference to "Initial Tank vacuum reading" Failed.
