starter mystery, 1997 ranger, 4cyl, 2.3l. had to jump start leaving work. put meter on battery at home. battery showed 13.6 volts with cables off. battery good. replaced ignition switch, to solve problem with a/c and smaller electrical issues. solved all that. replaced key lock cylinder as key was sticking and hard to pull out after shutting truck off. solved that problem. turn on start position, not even a click.jumped across the posts on fender mounted solenoid, truck starts right up. replaced that solenoid. still no start on switch. put remote starter switch on fender solenoid, key on, hit button, starts right up. hate to replace starter, if some other thing may be issue. any advice, comments are welcome at this stage. have to have truck up and running asap.
