Wheeling photos from Wharton - 11-28-10
I met up with Adam from Ranger-Forums and a few of his friends on Sunday for some wheeling in Wharton State Forrest. We rode some trails, drove through some water... got stuck in some water and did a little bit of hill climbing.
We had a great time, resulting in a ripped up a bed side on my truck and a hydrolocked engine one one of the Jeeps. Luckily the damage on my bed side is not too bad, and we were able to get the Jeep's motor running again after pulling the plugs and cranking it over a few times.
Onto the photos...
This truck got stuck quite a few times, it didn't have any tow points, so we ended up pulling it out by it's front sway bar:
Me going through the same hole (notice the Hellas behind the grille, I threw em in last month):
Adam's friend took the next water hole a bit too hard and ingested water through the intake. After a quick spark plug removal, we cranked out the water and got it running again. Luckily it wasn't a 5.4L Ford V8:
Our two depth finders, Justin and my dog, Storm:
At some point after this photo was taken, I got stuck twice in the Ranger. Unfortunately my camera was in the truck with me, so I don't have any photos. I bottomed out pretty good both times.
Stuck again:
And... stuck again:
Adam got stuck trying to get to the Jeep, we got him out with my truck:
Setting up to pull out the Jeep:
A photo of the whole group:
At the hill climb:
Auto exposure didn't like my hellas:
The aftermath:
Chest waiters were finally used for the first time:
Busted up bed side:

It's a good bit of damage, I ripped off about a 6 - 8 inch part off of the inside of the fender. Hopefully it is in an area that doesn't effect the rest of the bed structurally to cause cracking during use.

Re: Wheeling photos from Wharton - 11-28-10
Sorry Joe, I honestly forgot to call you and a couple other guys about this as well. This was in Wharton, the hill photos were from a majorly different hill. I'll remember to call you for the next meet, and if you ever want to hit the trails behind my house again, just let me know.
