Default 03 Ranger 4x2, lookin to lower

I have a 2003 Ranger 4x2 with the torsion bar front suspension. I'm lookin to lower this truck. Not a whole lot, just an inch or two. Anyone have any recommendations as far as what style drop to go for? I was thinking a drop spindle kit up front, but not sure about in back. I have the 8.8 in back with a spring over suspension. There's just too much wheel well showing and I want to eventually put some bigger rims on than the factory 16's. I was thinking 18's.

no drop spindles for the ranger, you can crank the front torsion bars to lower the front and get rear hanger for the rear. I have a set for sale for $85 they are a 2" and a 2.5" drop depending on what hole you use.
let me know

id pull out the torsion bolts for a mild drop. work from there, if you want the front lower flip the keys. after you get the front where you want work on the back accordingly. hangers or an axle flip should work good.

you can not just pull the torsion bolts, those are your springs. you would need something to hold the truck up without the Torsion bars

you can pull the torsion bolts, they are not your spring. they are an adjustment to tension on the torsion bar (acting as a spring). if you tighten the bolt the truck will raise, if you loosen the bolt the truck will lower. i took mine out and flipped the keys for a big drop, so i know first hand you can take em outwith no problems. if need be ill jack the truck up and take pics. oh and i have a 2003 2x4 edge (torsion bar front) let me know if you have anymore questions-

Will not work for you since you are coil sprung, but you are able to go a lot lower a lot easier and cheaper than those with torsions. Drop coils and axle flip kit would be a good start I think, however I have never lowered a truck so know next to nothing about it. Someone will definitely chime in though with answers for ya.

if you have a 2wd xlt its a coil spring truck not torsion bar, how low do you wanna go? they make 2 inch drop coils spring, flip the axle out back and should be good

well a 2/4 or 2/3 is really easy and cheap. spring and shackel. you can do a 3inch drop up front with springs also but you start to really tip in the front wheels. if you go 4 inches up front you need to get control arms and you price just 3x

well if yo want 4 inches up front, get a 2 inch drop spring and a set of drop arms upper and lower for the other 2 inchs. in the back you can either get drop shackels or get a flip kit.....get the flip kit
