id do 2 or 3 inch springs up front, and the camber eccentric shims (or whatever there called). get a flip kit for the rear. you will prob want to do shocks all around also. you might have a little neg camber, but isnt that kinda the point? lol

a flip kit will get you 5-6 inches if you do that with 2-3 in springs the rear will be at least 1inch lower than the front

I've heard horror stories about messing with the torsion bar settings. Had a friend in school who cranked up the torsion bar on the front of her truck for a small lift (she didn't do it, her so called Chevy expert boyfriend at the time did). ended up ruining a set of good tires. I would rather not mess with the torsion bar if it could be avoided. And I'm not wanting to go much lower than an inch or two on both front and rear.

this is my daily driver and would remain so after the drop. Doing anything that would deteriorate the ride or could cause problems later on down the road I would like to avoid.

iv had no prob with my lowered torsion bar truck. your not going to be able to lower it with out touching the torsion bars. measure from the ground to a point. back out the torsion bolts a lil and measure again. same amount of turns on both sides and measure on bolth sides. repeat until happy-

I have a set of eibach springs for the front. I'll sell them for $60 + shipping. If you're interested send me a P/M. Brand New in the Box.

The springs are all you need for the front. It will lower your truck about 2-3". For the rear you can purchase a lowering shackle to even it out. This is what I did to my truck and it sits even w/ about a three finger fender gap on the stock rims and tires. Still able to handle light fire road action, but it rides like a Honda Accord.

I lowered my 1999 2wd for free, 2" up front and 4" in the rear.
I cut the front coil 1 turn, and I removed the middle leaf in the pack.
Its incredibly simple, free, and can be done in about 3 hours with the proper tools.

Lol, seeing that I just had hand tools (including a breaker bar made from a bike seatpost smashed onto the end of a ratchet and crappy jackstands that required pieces of 2X6 underneat just to sit under the frame), it took a little longer.

So yeah, I would advise on picking up drop coils, but cutting them works fine, especially if you are broke like me!!

I have a 2001 edge and I want to drop it a few inches. It was mentioned you can flip the keys for more of a drop. How much drop does removing the bolt give? How much drop does flipping the key give? With either of these methods, is there enough adjustability to keep the wheel camber straight?
