Default Lowering advice

So I got a 97 ranger 2x4 5 speed currently lowered 2/5. I have the flip kit in back and springs and shocks in front. I'm now buying the I beams to be at 5 in front. I wanna be at 8 in back. Can I jus use 3 inch blocks? With notch kit ? Or is there a Better way. I heard something about shackles but couldn't find any online. Thanks

With what you have now, you can flip your shackles. It's where the leaf springs bolt to at the back of your truck. Grind the rivets off, flip it upside down, and then use 1/2" grade 8 bolts to bolt them back on. Or you could use 3" blocks.
