Default Just installed a Bronco II rear sway bar...

And I must say, holy freaking hell. Best thing I could have ever done to compliment the drop. Ride firmness didn't really go up a whole lot, but it handles FAR better now. The rear end actually feels attached instead of held in with spaghetti noodles lol. I took it for a quick drive down some twisties and I had a huge grin the whole time.
I didn't drop the tank like twanksta said, I just popped the bolt thru, put the washer on it with two fingers, and did the same for the nut (I think I went up and over the tank to make it a little easier), popped a 18mm socket in the frame rail, then my ratchet, and held the ratchet in the c channel while turning the bolt head with an 18mm wrench.
Oh, and easiest way to install it was to lift the body/chassis (I used a bottle jack on the tow receiver) and let the suspension droop. Then pop the bar around the driveshaft, then mount endlinks, then bolt bar to endlinks, then mount to axle.
So if you were wondering about putting a BII bar on your 2010, YES it will work! Okay here's the pics...

I did this on a 2010, but it should work just fine for your 96.

S13minus1:
I realize this thread is relatively old... but I have a few questions for ya (or anyone who can shed some light on the matter)

-The holes for the end links are pre-existing I take it?
(My 2000 Reg cab 5-spd 2.5l ranger didnt come with factory rear sway bar is why I ask)

-Also, is your truck suspension modified at all, as in, is it lifted or lowered?
I've got a DJM 2/3 drop installed on my ranger and I'm looking to get a BII rear sway bar, I'm just concerned whether or not the end links will need modification..

Any and all comments on the issue are appreciated!

I have had a rear sway bar on all my rangers even reg cabs. Handles so much better. I have one on my black truck right now even.

Holes are in the frame. Yes.

You don't need to modify. Just adjust it on the axle.

If you find a Mazda truck in the junk yard the majority of them came with rear sway bars. Just FYI. The 7.5 one and the 8.8 are different.

Damn, I was just at the salvage yard today looking for a console, I saw a Bronco ll (the only one there). Now I am going to have to go back to see if there is still a rear bar.
