Re: 08 drop
What model do you have? If its an XLT, you can go with the DJM Suspension kit. If you have a torsion bar truck( Edge/Sport ) then you are going to have a hard time, but it can be done.

Re: 08 drop
If it's an edge you can flip your front keys and get a flip kit for the rear. It's NOT that hard!!!!

How much drop does flipping your keys give you up front?

Yes, there is. I have the 2/3 on my truck, check the link in my sig for pics. The measurements are estimated, I got 3.5/4 drop out of my 2/3 kit.

Re: 08 drop
I would suggest running a DJM 4/5 drop with Doetsch Nitro Slammer shocks for the best ride/ handling combination http://shop.illusivefabrications.com/lowering-kits/

Re: 08 drop
I have the 4/5 DJM kit on my 2010. The only thing you will need extra is the adjustable camber bolts. About $45.00 at NAPA if I remember correctly. The parts swap can be done in your driveway. My truck has rear disc brakes so there was some confusion about the rear axle flip kit but DJM's customer service was awesome and got me on the road quickly. The ride is tight (handles great) and bumpier on crappy roads but I also trimmed the front springs about a half coil. This was due to the different rear axle Ford used in late 2010 and on trucks. The axle tube was larger diameter causing alittle more drop then 5 inches and DJM advised me to trim front spring to match so I actually have about a 5/6 drop but is is based off the 4/5 kit. Long story short, if you want to properly lower your truck go with the DJM kit.

Re: 08 drop
yea djm is what I was goin with. just debating on the wether to go with a 2/3 or a 4/5. I have 19s on it now so I was more leaning towards the 2/3.

Re: 08 drop
I m running 17's, so I think 19's wouldn't be to bad depending on tire size. I occasionally get rub in the front when the tire contacts the top of the inner fender during a big dip in road other then that no issues. Plus my 4/5 drop has been modified by cutting the DJM 2' drop coil about a half coil. Had to do this to account for the deeper rear drop caused by the 2010+ trucks with rear disc. With the 2008 you should be fine. Totally recommend DJM. I got mine through illusive fabrications and Brian was very helpful and informative getting my truck on the right track. Also like I said before DJM's customer service was good too.
Good Luck!
