I just lowered my single cab short bed xlt with the DJM 4/5. I also installed roush sway bars front and rear. After install, everything aligns great and rides very nice..BUT..the rear seems to be sitting a little too high for my liking..I am running stock chrome 15" wheel/tire combo which is fine for me..What should the measurements be after lowering it in the front and rear?

Front measured-27.5 fender to ground
Rear measure-29.5

Is this around where it should be? Just looks like theres a little rake to it, and would rather it sit level

thats a lot of rake if its 2" taller in the back... which it shouldn't be. Im no expect though so I'll let someone else chime in.

ya i was thinking the same thing..The flip kit is installed, and the leaf spring is bolted in the top location of the rear hanger..there is about 2.5-3" gap at least from bump stop to axle as well..not sure what else im missing, or needs to be done..just doesn't look like its low enough..front looks amazing though

dont get me wrong..i love the way it looks/rides..BUT I have seen pictures of 4/5 drops(supposedly) with it tucking more in the rear..just wanted to make sure that it was sitting how it should..

Im not a fan the rear sitting lower than the front, but thats just personal preference.

BTW, just noticed your sig says you have the Roush Sway Bar kit, did it make a difference for you? I just got mine in today, so should have it installed hopefully tomorrow.

well since i did the lowering and the sway bars at the same time...not sure if the lowering itself or the swaybars with it help..but it handles a lot better..and i can take hard bank 180* round about on-ramps at 60 now lol

edit..btw i didn't have a stock rear swaybar so Im sure it helps some than not..

Did you upgrade your shocks too? If so, did you use the DJM ones or Doetsch Nitro Slammers?

I currently have a 3/4 drop with the stock shocks, it rides exactly the same as factory.
