Truck not level after DJM 2/3 drop (new update with pic)
Background info:
07 ranger XL. 2.3/5 speed. Regular cab, regular bed.
Went with the DJM 2/3 kit. Flipped the axle in the rear and threw the drop coils in the front. After all was said and done, the front sits about 1/2 and inch higher than the rear on both sides of the truck. My buddy and I did the install about 2 weeks ago, hoping for the truck to settle some and that hasn't been the case. Should I wait a little longer or is this a common issue? Anything I can do? Would cutting the coils be a bad idea? Any and all help appreciated. Thanks!
Picture for reference. Looks like more than 1/2 an inch in the pic but measured and shows only 1/2.

No I sure didn't, but I don't think anything is resting on the bump stops. I will double check in the morning. Wouldn't it be really noticeable if the bump stops were the issue (as far as regular driving goes) ?

Re: Truck not level after DJM 2/3 drop
No I plan to stay 2/3 for the time being. 4/5 would be sick but i dont know if i want to go that low just yet. Looks much better than before though, trust me. As far as the wheels go, I think they look fine. Another inch in height would be cool but they work for now. (17x9 in the front, 10.5 in the rear.)

Re: Truck not level after DJM 2/3 drop
did you record how much actual drop you achieved? that type of info might be helpful.
if you want to go lower, you could cut half a coil for free.
if you just want to level it out, you could uninstall the flip kit and just flip the rear hanger for $10 in hardware. If you did that you would probably go up about an inch in the rear (2" below stock instead of 3").
One other option might be to install an add-a-leaf for $50, but that would probably be too much lift

you have to usually trim your bump stop in half, or put on the pancake bump stops... here is my 2001 with th2 2" drop coils, and a flipped hanger

Re: Truck not level after DJM 2/3 drop
Lots of good info in here. Much appreciated. Still need to head outside and check out the situation with the bump stops in the front, but after driving it I haven't felt the front bottoming out so I doubt they are rested. Unfortunately, I did not take measurements prior to the drop. Definitely should have. I think my best bet would be to cut off 1/2 a coil on the fronts. I really like how the rear sits, and would like the front to be level or a bit lower than the rear.

Re: Truck not level after DJM 2/3 drop
Well after closer inspection, it looks as though that the truck is sitting on the front bump stops, but just barely. Tomorrow I plan to notch them, probably in half. Hopefully that helps. Will keep you guys updated.

Re: Truck not level after DJM 2/3 drop
Went ahead and cut the bump stops in half. Hopefully that gives the springs enough clearance to settle some more. I'll give it a week or so and go from there.

That works too lol. Did the springs settle some after the bump stops were switched? I'm hoping it works.

Re: Truck not level after DJM 2/3 drop
just FYI, I ran into the same issue on my 06 ranger. I was laying on the bump stop pretty hard though. I removed them completely and the front settled another 1" after a couple days. No my truck ride at 3/4 instead of 2/4.
Since then I bought the Energy Pancake BumpStops to replace the stockers. Stance is much better! Ill try to get some pictures.
