Default Need Advice on Lowering My Ranger

I'm new to ranger customization. I have a 95 ranger. bought it over a year ago and am looking for advice on lowering it. I'm looking for opinions on the best way to go about it / how much it'll cost me depending on which direction I go. Should I get custom leafsprings made for the rear, or swap for coilovers in the rear, or dare I install bags ? Any feedback would be very helpful and appreciated.

Do some searching on here. Its not really what to do its how low you wanna go and how much you want to spend. A 2/2 drop can be done for next to nothing by flipping rear shackles and cutting the coils up front. 2/3 from djm is around 300 which is lowering springs, axle flip and new shackles. 3/4 is new beams and a flip kit out back runs about 400. 4/5 would be i believe lowering springs and beams with a flip and a axle spacer block. Any more than these and you will need to notch the frame in the back and you will run into camber issues in the front.

Both our trucks were 4cyl, 5spds.............should give ya an idea....

You can acquire a 4" drop in rear via an Explorer rearend swap and with that swap, you will need to fabricate somekinda upper shock mount setup.

My 94 with 00 Explorer 8.8(old setup):

just go with a flip kit for the rear for about $50 and then do a 4 inch drop in the front with djm control arms and coils

I'm looking to lower my 96 ranger but i need some advice. i want to go with the djm dream beams (i beams) in the front and lowering leaf springs in the back but how much of a drop would that give me? i dont want to do an axle flip but i might consider it for extra drop. PLEASE HELP!

Ok Izzy 1993 heres a link to lower the rear of any ranger 2" for about $20
http://www.rangerpowersports.com/for...-a-244965.html
Now you don't need a torch just use a simple cut off wheel and go slow

Want to be lower: just get a flip kit you'll be way happier in the end theres no need for c notching and its very simple bolt in install or fallow the above link there's no reason to buy new leafs

We really need to make a sticky on this site for this subject I have answered these questions about 100 times on here haha. But to make it simple cut coils ride like crap, drop leaf springs are usually really stiff and expensive.

I offer the following drops for Ibeam Rangers.
2/2(Drop Coils, flip your rear hangers and shackles),
3/4(Drop Beams and rear flip kit),
5/6(combination of 2/2 and 3/4 drop which is the max alienable static drop may require raised crossmembers and bolt in frame notch)

For links to parts on my site email me brian@illusivefabrications.com
