Default lowering a 95 reg cab V8

So I had some questions...Im currently researching while waiting on funds. So if no one knows the answers Im sure I'll find them somewhere.

So basically since I have a DD now, I can do what I want to the ranger without worrying about getting done before I need to go anywhere.

Current specs 2WD 1995 reg cab shortbed ranger with 4.0 5spd with 8.8 rearend. Bed cut out with 2 15" subs.
-------------------
Going to be 5.0 5spd (probably carb, MAYBE supercharged, definitely not going to be stock), 4 15" subs in the back

Questions:

1. What is a good brand of lowering kit and shocks that will be able to handle the extra weight of the system in the back and engine in the front and extra power? (and anything else I'd need, but it looks like most kits come complete minus shocks for everything I'd need)

2. Whats the lowest I could go that would be practical and reliable? I dont want to notch the frame or weld if possible, and I dont want it so low that the extra weight causes it to bottom out on these shitty Oklahoma roads.

Thats all I can think of right now in terms of suspension questions I have. Feel free to post links from a reputible source, Ive been using google, and dont know if the info Ive been reading is good info. I trust you guys either know what you're talking about or know a link to good info. Thanks in advance.

30 views and nothing?

It seems as though DJM makes the lowering kit and if no one knows if it will work with a v8, I guess Ill just try it and let ya know if shit breaks...But I still dont know what shocks to get.

Going with the 3/4 probably...So if someone could chime in with a good brand of shocks, I would appreciate it.

3/4 is a really good drop because it isnt to low to scrape everywhere.

you might have to go with stiffer springs to accommodate for the v8 in the front or just order springs 1in bigger than you need so it will level out with the added weight

ive had good luck and good ride quality from pro-comp its mostly buying the brand i think tho
