Default is it true that lowering a Edge 4x2 is a pain in the ass

I originally wanted to slam my truck ..but kept hearing something along the lines that the Edge has the same frame and suspension as the 4wheel drive and it would be extra expensive to accomplish this...
Need advice...because honestly I can't stand stock ..so I cracked my torsion bars and threw some wheels on her..but its not really what i REALLY want to do..I want her on the ground..any advice would be great !!

yes, it sucks. If you want a slammed ranger you got the wrong truck. Edges are made for off road.

You can drop it but it is all custom work.
uncrank the torsion bars is about all you can do.

Lowering is a royal bitch to "slam" un-cranking your bars will put you at stock xlt height. You can make custom coil mounts made to convert to coilovers. Or you can flip your torsion keys to get you a little lower that xlt Height.

to properly lower an edge, you will have to go coilovers and ditch the tbars

edit : damn you casper! haha

You can easily do about a 3/4 drop on the edge with the reindexed torsion keys I sell and then remove the rear lift block and flip the rear hangers and shackles. Any lower than that in the front and you will need a custom made upper control arm.
