Lowering Questions
I am thinking about lowering my Ford Ranger 94" I am trying to figure out what is the best kit i need to get to do this. I am trying to lower it with a 3/4 kit. But i am trying to find a good place to order the complete kit..
I am also wondering do i have to buy new shocks when i install the kit? Because i dont think the kits come with shocks..
Last question is how would i check if my rear has already been flipped? My dad told me he got the rear lowered to make it even with the front, So i am wondering if they flip the axle or not.
Links will be very appreciated, and all help is welcomed.
Thanks
Montrell

Re: Lowering Questions
djm, yes you need new shocks, usually they dont come with shocks unless you buy from www.shop.illusivefabrications.com/ with a 3/4 kit the lowering he has done would be 2 inches max so you gonna have to find a way to get 2 more inches outta it or fix what he did and put a flip kit in

Re: Lowering Questions
That link did not work.
Oh, So i need to look for springs also. Are springs expensive? But if i get a complete 3/4 lowering kit will it still lower my rear to 4in?

Re: Lowering Questions
http://shop.illusivefabrications.com/ try this link
----------
i believe with beams you do not need springs, unless you wanna go lower then 3 inches, but with the rear you just add a flip kit, which puts your axle ontop of your leaf springs insted of underneath, the way they are now, lowering it 4 inches.
ps you may also need alignment bushings

Re: Lowering Questions
shouldnt be too bad if you have the right tools, as far as your 20s go it should be low enough depending on what size of tire you have
