Default Lowering springs

I am looking at lowering my 97 ext cab and found the cheapest way would be to get the lowering springs... is this a bad idea.. or should i just wait and try to get a lowering kit

There is nothing wrong with drop coils as long as you do not heat or cut your stock springs These are what you would want to run. And in the rear you can flip your hangers and shackles. This will give you a 2/2 drop. Also be sure to have your truck realigned after the drop.
