I want coils! I hate to ask without doing a thorough search, but the daeler is looking for a truck with the options I want, and I need to get a vehicle ASAP.

I think the 2wd xlt and xl have coils

the XLT 2wd has coils. DO NOT get the Sport as it has torsion bars. The SPORT package has the same suspension as the 4x4 but without having front axles (they have spindles) or transfer case. You have to get an XLT. All 4x4s will have torsion bars

When did they start putting the T-bar in the sport?

Tbars have been on the Ranger since 98 on all 4x4s. Also 98-00 Trailhead models (there may have been a sport package in 98-00 as well, just cannot remember).

01-05 EDGE 2wd as well as all 4x4s had t-bars.

In 06 to present EDGE became Sport again. However sometime after 06 they offered the Sport Reg cab with coils. But all Sport Ext. Cabs had t-bars still.

So in 2011, you do not want anything 4x4 or any Sport Ext. Cabs. Best bet is to get a 2wd XLT. Nicest interior options unless you want the rubber floor.

Yeah I was confused because like I had said mine is a 2wd Sport XLT single cab and it has coils. Just wondering when they switched, I ned the 4x4 had the edge had them.
