Default step notch

hey guys i have a 97 ranger with a blow thro box an im gettin ready to bag it an i want to put a 8" step notch in it an im cool with cutttin my bed out but im worried about my driveshaft hittin but i dont wanna move my box is there anyway i can get it not to hit without cuttin the bed for the driveshaft the box comes back to right in front the fender wells thanx in advance

The driveshaft should not have to come up through the bed floor
