Default Lowering on a budget

Hey,
I have a 1999 Ranger 2WD, 3.0 automatic, STD cab and I was wondering how I could get a nice drop for cheap. I know I could throw in drop blocks and cut a turn out of the front coils for next to free, but I'd like to see it at about 4" up front and 5-5 1/2" in the rear. Is there any way to do this while avoiding body drops and air bags?

Thanks!
ED

I do not know much about lowering...but I know of the axle flip kit for the rear.

you can NOT lower with blocks you can lift with them. once you do a flip kit then you can lower with blocks

you need a flip kit to get that much drop in rear, the other way is a shackel drop I have a 2.5 inch drop here for the rear yours for $75 shipped.
as for the front you need drop arms and springs to get past 3 inches

Alright, I have another quick question...
If I do the DJM 4-5 drop kit, will I have to notch the rear??

word. don't notch it until you see how often it hits frame. Then the bolt/weld in notchs are cake to install if you need it.

I used that drop on my 90 ex cab. It only hit sometimes on hard dips or bumps. Just use some good bump stops and you'll probably be alright.
