yes, but you cant lower it much maybe 2" at the max because of the CV axles

Alright, I'll get on that soon. That should even out the lift in the back to equal in the front. Cause; my front seems lower than the back.

Hi, I am John.

I am also investigating how to lower a 4x4 ranger. If I can come to stock 4x2 hight it would be fine. According the fabric measurements it has to be lowered about 9,4 cm which is almost 4 inch. I was thinking to swap the complete suspention with 4x2. I am worried about the front axle.

Another perhaps better option for the front would be the use of spindles, wich can give a 2" perhaps more drop. But who sells those?

I talk about a 2010 Ranger.

Who can give me some usefull advice?

ps. I use the 4x4 only for heavy rain and muddy roads

No reliable manufacturer has a ranger drop spindle in production for any year or model. Torsion crank is the best bet on a 4x4. You could use reindexed torsion keys but you may run into cv axle issues.

That sums it up pretty well. lol. Especially for John up there working on a 2010. '08+ 4x4's are already the same size as a coil spring 2wd of the same gen(Gen4+)(pic below as proof). So all you need is to remove the 1.5-1.75" rear block and bingo! You're the same height as a coilspring 2wd. You CANNOT swap the front suspension...its impossible to fit that coil spring in with the CV in the way. Plus, the entire front frames are TOTALLY different between torsion bar and coil spring. If you're wanting to lower a 2010 4x4, you bought the wrong truck.

DisturbedESV's '08 4x4 vs. '07 2wd coilspring

As for lowering minimally a 2wd Edge/Sport or 4x4 truck, as noted above, 2" is about tops then you start running into ball joint angle issues and CV issues. BUT, this same theory is basically what's already done to '08+ 4x4's. So you may run into those BJ issues with as little as an inch drop.
