Default Questions for DJM 2/3 kit

Okay so I know there are threads out there about the 2/3 DJM kit, but none of them really answer my question 100%

I have a 98 Ranger 3.0 XLT, And Im wondering if the 2/3 front springs and rear flip kit work with stock size Shocks?

In other words, Can I install the kit without buying lowering shocks?
and what happens if I dont buy camber bolts? can it still be aligned properally?

Im basically looking for the cheapest way to drop my ranger using the 2/3 kit.

Thanks in advance
Zach

First off, which DJM kit are you looking at? The DJM 3/5 kit I bought when I first dropped mine came with shorter shocks as part of the package.

As far as keeping stock shocks, it's possible if 2/3 is all the drop you're doing. Keep in mind you'll be riding below the normal height those shocks are meant to sit at, so they can easily be damaged or wear out prematurely even with very light driving.

I didn't use any camber bolts when I first dropped mine, and while I did have a reasonable bit of camber, I was still able to adjust the toe of the truck just fine. I moved up to coilovers and DJM upper control arms up front and nitro drop 2 shocks in the rear, but as a basic first step, worst case a set of those shocks all around isn't too expensive.

Also like to add, mine was $200 including the shocks that came in the 3/5 kit and optional 6" rear shackles.
