Default Lowered ranger splash suspension on ranger xl

.there is a guy I know parting out a 1995 ranger splash that has a lowering kit on it. I have a 1997 ford ranger xl. This 1995 that's being parted out has I- beams that look just like the djm 3 inch drop beams. The coils look factory, it has longer leaf spring shackles. The leaf pack looks flater than mine. It does have the axle flipped. Also has a rear sway bar that I would like. I thought it was all factory cause there's soo much buildup on this trucks frame components, but I found out it's aftermarket. I need someone to give me a list of parts that I would need to pull off that truck to put on mine. How low can I lower the front with the djm beams?

maybe this forum will help me. Therangerstation.com was a complete waste of time. Nobody was helpful on that site.

Rear sway will bolt up. You can also get a bigger bar off a Bronco II to bolt up.
pull the beams and bolt onto your truck. Probably need an alignment afterwards. I do believe that splash's came with 1inch lowering coils, so i'd probably grab those also. Dont forget shocks, or maybe just buy those new. Shocks make a world a difference in ride.
Not sure about the leafs, they should be the same. But pull the flip kit and install on your truck. That gives you 5inch rear drop. The longer shackles will lift the truck so a net drop of 4 or 3 inches can be had. See picture:

thanks man. that helped out alot. how low can i put the front and rear? i know i can add blocks in the rear and coils in the front. but how low can you go before the pinion angle gets messed up and the caster/camber up front would be comprimised.

All I found out was the splash has 1 inch lowering coils. I now understand why it took so long for people to post replys. These forums are much much smaller than others I have joined.

i'm at 5" rear drop, and no problem with pinion angle, where the problem comes in is any lower, and you have to notch the rear

The Splash does NOT have any different springs than any other stock 2wd or 4wd Ranger.

The 4wd TTB Rangers have the same springs as any other 2wd Ranger XL, XLT, or Splash.

You kinda have to look at what TRS is about fella. The lowered crowed mostly spends their time on RPS while the off roading crowd is on TRS. TRS welcomes the lowered crowed as we are trying to attract them by adding stuff for lowered guys.

No, the Splash did NOT come lowered from the factory. All the Splash option was was the flare side bed and stripes.

So you both are trying to tell me that the 4wd version of the Splash was lowered as well. Don't think so.

Ford didn't change anything in spring height from '83-'97. The 2wd and 4wd had the same springs. The only difference Ford had was in spring rate for the different weight of the different engines. The heights never changed.

you are wrong dude, just admit it. the 2wd splash came with lowered coils for the sporty look. the 4x4 splash did not, as the splash option on the 4x4 was just that, pinstripes, decals and the steppie bed.

Why don't you go get yourself a set of FACTORY coil springs off a Splash and a set of FACTORY coil springs off a XLT 2wd and do some measurements.

Show me proof that isn't an aftermarket spring.

wich is why when people with splashes put the 2 inch lowering coils in, it doesnt have much effect, because they already have shorter coils from the factory.

You can lower or lift a TIB Ranger 2" without haven't to do anything but an alignment. Thus why they sell 2" lifts for them without any TIB brackets.

Look up on the auto parts sites, NO ONE list a different spring for the Splash trucks.

Free Height of ALL TIB/TTB Ranger springs = 13.750"

Why don't you post links to RPS for me since you know where they are at.
