How to flip my 1996 rear suspension
So because I hate the way the rear sits so high I want to lower. But it needs to be cheap. I heard of the flip but I don't know what I need and how to do it. Any tips please help.

you drill/grind/torch off the rivets on the rear shackle. flip it upside down. you get 2" drop
before  after

Yes you can do that also. Depending on your drop you need a c-notch. Also if I remember right it's more like 4" not positive.

Just curious as to how this setup rides? My 93 BDD seems to ride like a lumber wagon & its stock, just wonderin if my bushings are tired enough not to be flexin like they need to, and might do this mod till I do the Explorer 8.8 swap.....

On my 1993 splash it didn't change a thing. Rode the same.

When I shackle flipped my 93 it didn't change the ride. My truck rides pretty well at a 6/4 drop.

Do you have to remove the bed to get the rivet bolts off? Can you do it with the bed on the truck?

It can be done with the bed on. You can remove the bumper for a little more room also.
