Default Rear shocks

I have heard that some people have put Nissan p/u shocks on the back after lowering it. If so and they work what years work and what model shock would it be ? I have a "01 XLT" Thanks for the help !

hey man i have a 2000 ranger im bagging my buddy said the 93 model nissan hardbody shock are the best ones to go with there 12" compressed and 19.5 Extended

yea ive heard the early 90's hardbody shocks are identical

all the hardbody shocks are pretty much the same. They are just a little shorter than a stock ranger shock. For the best ride I suggest going with a good drop shock that has better valving for lowered trucks.
