Default 4WD Ranger Lowering ???????'s

I have an 06 Ranger XLT 2dr Supercab. I was going to lift it, but with everything i wanted to do, it was just way too expensive. So, i decided to lower it instead. I have already lowered the front by loosening the Torsion Bar bolts. and i was wondering if there is a drop spindle kit for a 4WD. as far as out back, i have decided to remove one of the leaf springs to drop it down. is there another way to lower the rear? i'm kind of new to the whole lowering thing. i've always lifted trucks. can someone help me? thanks.

There are no drop spindles for any ranger or explorer. One option for lowering the front is re-indexed torsion keys https://www.illusivefabrications.com...roducts_id=437 As for the rear, keep your leaf pack together to help prevent wheel hop. Remove the lift block out of the truck for about 2" and you can do a rear hanger and shackle flip for about 2". You should be able to get around a 3/4 drop fairly cheap. I would also suggest upgrading to some Doetsch Nitro Slammer drop shocks as well https://www.illusivefabrications.com...roducts_id=218

i'll get some pics put up soon. i've removed the bump stop blocks out of the rear end, lowered the front with the T bars. custom painted the Ranger emblems, NightShade on the taillights as well as the corner lenses. and 8000K HID headlights.

o dwammm ive been looking for these! i have an ever so lovely edge. tired of that torsion bar crap but coil conversions make no sense as they are so expensive. i deff gonna have to pick me up a set of these, that would give me what a 5inch drop in front max? perfect

no, no and no. lowering a 4wd is like pamela anderson getting her implants taken out, no good reason for it, and it bothers people!

I've always heard that lowering a 4 wheel drive vehicle would mess up your transfer case... and you wouldn't be able to use your 4x4 anymore... i don't know if that is true or not but I just figured I'd tell ya...

dont do it your better off selling it then buying a 2wd one..just throw on a body lift and crank up your t bars more that will be about the same price as lowering it

I want to also look at lowering mine but only enough to sit level. I do not have rear blocks on my truck.

Basically what I am doing is making a street truck that I can put on 18" street wheels (Summer) and 15" wheels for winter.

I'm going for a performance look.
