Default Body mounts for lift # and Tire Size?

Got 2 quick questions for ya. I've ordered Belltech 6400 shackles. And I am ordering Performance Accessories BB01 Body mounts (1" high x 3" round BL). Going to do the 1"BL + Shackles + Torsion Bar Crank for a total lift of 2". And replace my 31" Tires with 32" or 33" Tires. Don't want to go to crazy yet (to new) and it's my daily driver. But it's just to low for my liking right now. No need for Shifter, Steering, Ground strap etc.... extensions either. And cheap way to get a bit of lift ($70CND for 2 Shackles and $34CND for 12 1"BL's = $104CND + tax for 2" lift). Not bad at all ah? Will eventually be doing the Hurst Shifter (cure the console shifter clearance with the 1" BL issue). I'll sort out the 1" bumper gaps easy enough (might just do front bumper and leave the rear so the hitch dosn't look funky, put a plate across the gap).

Question #1 - How many body mounts are there on my 2010 FX4 Ranger (extended cab / short box)? 12 or 14? (or is it 14 or 16?) I think it's 12. And 14 for long box. Correct me if I'm wrong, just wanted to make sure before ordering.

Question #2 - Which tire size do you think I should go with 32" or 33"? (Just cant make up my mind)

Any Pics (this set up) any help with this would be great.

Thanks

I don't know about all the questions but I think 33s would look better than 32s after the 2" lift. just my opinion though

Hey thanks for the quick reply.

I know there's only 6 bed bolts, and it's hard to believe there's more than 6 on the body.

I guess whats confusing me is. The kits at Summit Racing and PA show 14 in their 3" BL Kit Pics.

I might just get 16 to make sure (need to order them today). Seeing as there only $2.79 CND each. Probably end up with spares. Could be useful if one ever wears or cracks (does this happen with the BL's?).

Perfect thanks STL. I'm guessing they give you the extra two just in case you have a long box. I just ordered 16 just to be sure. Just maybe I can figure out a way to use the extra 4 1"BL's for the bed supports on either side of the bed, between frame and support rail (can't weld them, but maybe bolt them through there center holes / may need to mod the BL a bit though / I'll see soon enough).

Cheers

What do you plan to do about the bumpers? They will hang lower after you do the homemade body lift.

Hmm...never seen those 1" BL pucks before. Let us know how it goes. Do you think the OEM hardware is long enough for the extra 1"? I wouldn't mind doing a 1" BL for a little extra.

It's not quite a full homemade BL lift. The BL's are 1"Thick x 3"Diameter Peformance Accessories Part # BB01. See link below.

http://www.shopatron.com/products/pr....2477.0.0.0.0?

The extensions for shiter, steering, ground strap, hose are not needed with the 1"BL. As well no rad blocks needed.

Only thing I need to supply are the 12 longer bolts. Which I will be getting from Malmberg Truck and Trailer (worked there for 3 1/2 yrs so my pricing there is great / it's who ya know lol). They will be Grade 8 bolts (washers).

Rear bumper I will probably leave alone for now, and just fill in the extra 1" gap between tailgate and bumper with Blackedout Checker Plate or metal plate. Don't want my trailer hitch looking to funky.

Front Bumper is an easy fix. Elongate the bumper horn mounting holes locations upward. See Pics.

The truck in the pic has 265/75R16 and 1" torsion crank, 1" shackle lift and 1" BL with front bumper mod (fits nice) Same set up I'm after, see pics.

Yep you can get em PA 1" BL'S #BB01. I'll keep ya posted for sure.

From what I've read you can re use the stock bolts from the rear cab mounts on the front cab mounts (if they arn't damaged coming out). Will only save ya from buying 2 Bolts though.

So I'm gonna just buy all 12. Once I start a job I like to finish er. No running back and forth to parts shops for me thanks. Getting all and sometimes a little more than ya need generally saves time and money (time is money lolol).

Thats what I was leaning towards 33" (your right they would look better / and I could do it with this 2" lift). It's just hard to find a Pizza cutter tire for 16" rim Diameter, 7" wide. I'm used to 9.25" tire width (235/85R16) 32" Diameter. Around here with all the snow the thinner the better.

Going 33" seems to put me in the 11.25" to 10.50" tire width range.

Do you have any 33" tire suggestions in a narrower range (for factory 16" rim Diameter, 7" wide)?

I made a bad decision buying my current 245/75R16's (to small Diameter at 30.70" but tire width is ok at 9.65"). My last three sets on my 03 Jeep TJ Rubicon were 235/85R16 (32" Diameter, 9.25" tire width).

Need 33"'s in the 9.25" to 10" max width range. Any suggestions?

Thanks

I was thinking this morning you may be able to use 3" bodylift bumper brakets on the rear and just do the same to the holes like on the front.
