Default Rear lift blocks bad??

So I have a lean on my truck right now since I have a 3" lift spindle up front and some deaver leaf springs in the back. The rear is lower about an inch and I just want to level it out. I have the option of getting a drop hanger to lift it or using a 1" lift block. The lift block is soo much easier to do than the drop hanger since that requires some fab work. Would a 1" lift block affect the ride?? Make it harsher?? This is just a temporary fix until I get suspension up front and I could adjust the ride height better. What do you guys think? Thanks!

Ford factory installed solid steel lift blocks on mine, exactly as cdawall described. They also have a built-in bump-stop arm. They're great. No problems. A pin (bottom) & matching hole (top) keep them perfectly aligned with leaf-spring pins. http://imgur.com/a/WpQR8

That's whats in mine. Again unlike the Ford ones this is bolted into the leaf pack with the leaf spring pin.

Pro-Comp offers HD block kits that also feature the bump-stop arm. I think they come in 3" and 4" sizes. They look like the factory blocks, just taller. I'm not entirely sure what they're made out of, but they look to be made of the same material as the stock ones.
