Mine was a pain in the butt. I had one bolt break but was lucky enough to get it out. I only used an impact at the end to tighten down. A breaker bar and good socket set did the trick for me with lots if pb blaster and wd. Also take your time pulling the bolts out I had two bolts that were almost rusted through.

I just pulled my bed off to put on a flatbed. The truck has 227k+ miles on it, and the front support on the bed, and the front of the floor were GONE.

I used a 6ft section of exhaust pipe for leverage, and still broke a socket, and a ratchet getting the bolts out. However, with some oil, some beating with a hammer, and lots of force, they all came out without breaking.

Just an update. I got my cab installed no problems with heat and the impact. I broke em loose with a breaker bar then hammered em out. The bed was a different story. The 2 bolts up front were rusted and on side of the bed had a hole in it. One of those broke and one of the 4 back ones broke. I got the clip off and got em out. Now finally after 4 days straight of cleaning sanding welding and painting im about to put it back together. And its in WAY better shape than before.
