| | Lift Kit
I really want to get the superlift lift kit for my truck this spring/summer but the kit comes with blocks to lift the rear and i have heard that the blocks in the back can give axle wrap and is hard on your truck. I was wondering if you can get just the kit for the front and then something other than the blocks for the back like an add a leaf.

You can get traction bars to combat the axle wrap.

Or use Explorer leaf springs, chevy drop shackles and factory block.

Regarding just buying a front kit....it's cheaper to buy the entire front AND rear kit than it is to buy JUST the front kit.

It kinda depends on what you are doing with the truck. If it is going to be all show then blocks will be fine. If it is going to be a hardcore wheeler then you probably want at least an aal if not a whole spring pack. You shouldnt get axle wrap unless you really get into the throttle

I'm just saying, if it's leaf sprung, there will be spring twist(S-curve) PERIOD. Might not be too noticeable on one ride, yet is showing itself loudly on another. When there's a decent amount of power being sent to them or it's a manual truck....add some grippy tires...maybe a traction aid(LS or locker), it's there.
*My '88 XJ auto on 32's had no apparent wrap. Yet my buddy's '88 ax15 on 32's had MASSIVE wrap issues. We were both running the same bfg m/t's. On my Ranger now(35's, 4.88's, new strong engine w/ go-fast mods, 5spd manual, aussie lunchbox locker), I've got hardcore wrap/twist issues on the stock 2.5" block WITH traction bars. All that combined = carnage on my trans output and tcase though. BUT...it's leaps and bounds better than without the over axle traction bars.
