The COC (haha I'm making a new acronym) is not hard. You just drill a few new holes in the shock tower and bolt them up. Then have someone that can weld a good bead to weld the supports.

If you get through putting on the SL then the COC will be a piece of cake

ok thanks. i like the new acronym btw . i didnt realize until just yesterday that the things that are welded on can be done before everything else... all it is two bars of metal that connect the shock tower to the frame to add strength or something similar to that... there not part of the coil-overs or any of that stuff. i could get that done very easily for very cheap and then probably do the other stuff myself.. i dunno about drilling my own holes tho

You can't be serious about the drilling the holes thing right?

you do have to drill holes right? if i'm wrong then i mis read something some where but if i'm not the reason i don't wanna drill holes is because thats a part of my suspension that will probably cost a crap load of money to replace if i don't do it right... trucks are built from factory's that are 99.9% perfect at drilling holes and what not... i'm far from 99% perfect and hell i've never drilled a hole into metal much less thick suspension parts on my truck. i also gotta worry about drilling in the wrong spot and what not.. this truck has to last me until i make enough money (on my own) to buy another one. if i screw it up i am literally walking until i can buy something else or fix it... (i guess fixing it really wouldn't be THAT expensive but still...)

i think the scariest thing to me is you can't take back drilling a hole... once you've done it you've done it and theres no going back... that scares me

Dude. Its 3 holes in your shock tower. There's literally only 1 way the bracket can sit in the shock tower if they're the same as the RCD. You set it up there and vise grip clamp it, mark your holes and even use a punch to find the center, drill the holes and install with grade 8 hardware. If you can't do this, you should be attempting installing a superlift, sorry, but it's honestly not hard.

I know its not hard dude... you gotta look at it from my perspective... i can easily see how someone like you would think it would be as easy as cake considering your mechanical experience... the most complicated thing i have ever done is install my HIDs and all that is is plugging in wires... Drilling holes through metal seems intimidating to me regardless of how easy it is... Not to mention the one way street factor. i'm sure IF i have the balls to attempt the Superlift and i am successful with it, i will no doubt be able to do the C.O.C... sadly i doubt i'll end up doing the SL tho

Go buy a piece of metal at a scrap yard, clamp it down with a piece of wood under it, grab a corded drill, and start drilling holes. "Last 2 weeks of school, f*ck it!"

Well with some of the shit you post, no one can tell when you're "kidding"...

Gonna have to research more on your own and come up with more valid posts for people to take you seriously. Sorry to say, but it's true. You don't do a whole lot of searching before you ask. There is VERY FEW questions between the forums for rangers, that haven't been answered or asked even. With a lil searching, you can find almost anything.

Don't get me wrong, I respect you as a person... But what I don't like is having to follow your posts to make sure you give the right "advice/help" to other members. If you would only post when you have real knowledge on a subject, not what other members tell you, it makes you a lot more believable. I know what I know because i'm not afraid to dig into something. It's that kind of perseverance that teaches you on the subjects your try to preach about. Just something to think about please.
