I will have to look into doing an Ibeam setup.... I don't have fabrication facilities and my skills haven't been used in three years so I probably suck again but cheaper is cheaper. I actually don't have a newer model Ranger yet... I do for sure want to get a second truck but I wonder about finding an older model ex cab Ranger, maybe 97 or something... What year did the Rangers stop doing the I-beam front ends wasn't it 98 when they started the wishbone suspensions? What about boxing frames? weren't the front ends on the wishbone suspensions boxed... stupid question but shouldn't I go ahead and box my frame if I am looking to take jumps and get rough with the truck?

They started the a arm trucks in 98 yes and same thing with the semi boxed frames. But your best bet is to go with a pre 95 ranger since it won't have obd 2 yet so you dont have to worry about so much smog crap. And like i said threat makes a very good bolt on kit that retains the coil bucket so no need for coilovers till your ready. The beams he makes can also be widened to your preference within certain limits. I am gonna be buying his 3 link kit for the rear soon so we will see how that turns out.
