Default 3'' body lift on 2006 ranger sport

i went to put a 3'' body lift on my 06 ranger sport today and the guy at the shop told me that he didnt want to put it on because the ride would be real shaky and told me i should return the kit and get a suspension lift instead. ive seen alot of people on this forum with 3'' body lifts and havent read any real downsides when compared to the suspension lift if im not looking to do any serious offroading but more so just to raise the truck and put some 32s on. are there any disadvantages to a body lift and a t-bar crank to level it out? any help would be appreciated

That guy is crazy. Even if you wheel it hardcore you wont experience anything bad with a body lift. Unless you install it wrong.

You can fit 32" tires with a mild t-bar crank. Have your alignment checked after you do

He's a mechanic?! Like STL said, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a body lift. I have a 3" BL, no problems, and I put it through some tuff shit. Just wait for an open day, and do it yourself! It'll be WAAAAY cheaper, and its pretty simple.

he probably wanted you to go with a suspension lift so HE could make more money off you for labour.

if the body lift is installed propper there shouldn't be any problems.

The real question is why do you want to put 32's and such if you aren't going to go offroading? Lol, just kidding. What did you say to the guy when he told you this? I'd definitely try to do it yourself but if not I wouldn't take it back there, not confidence inspiring.
