Default 2000 Ranger 2wd lift kit please help a nubie

Hey everyone I just got a Ranger and its a 2000 2wd xlt super cab. I want to lift it a little so I can make it look a little better. But I am having a hell of a time finding out what I need. I found the fabtech spindle kit, and lots of body lifts. I am a little worried of the body lift but what other options do I have? I am only trying t go like 2-3" I ride dirt bikes and dont want to make it a pain in the rump to unload/load. Thanks in advance for any help. P.S this is my first post so go easy on me if everyone asks this and I just cant find it.

Your other options are the fabtech/doetsch 2.5 coil w/ UCA or a coil spacer which is I think around 1" or so. Body lifts are the cheapest. Since you have a bike I am assuming you won't be beating on your truck that much so a body lift would be fine. Spindle lift is the easiest if you ask me. Around 250-350 for spindles, then for the rear a set of shackles run about $50 or so.

Hmm...maybe contact doetsch direct and see who their distributors are. I know you can find them on ebay as well. Someone on here is selling some fabtech ones for 350 I think. Check the classifieds and ask him if they will fit your year. I think all that changed is the rotors got bigger, so you could upgrade to a nicer bigger brake with the lift. But you may not have to...

i used the 3" fabtech spindle lift on my 2000 2wd and it was really easy to install and i just ran blocks on the back. i got mine from performancelifts.com and they were right at $400 for the spindles and i got the blocks local for $30. but i just checked and they went up to $500, but you can probably find them cheaper, when they were $400 that was the cheapest i could find them. and the factory brakes will fit the spindles. you dont have to get any longer shocks for the front but you should get longer ones for the rear, you dont have to but i would highly recommend it. i am running 31x10.5's right now but i could easliy fit 33x12.5's but mines got the little 4 banger and i dont want to put the engine in that much of a bind, but im goin to 33's when i get the 302 in

I ran the 6/4 Doetsch lift on my 2000 2wd. Took me about 6-8 hours to install, and it was my first lift project. Did it with some air tools and a few buddys with a case of beer. Not too hard at all.

I have pics of the truck if you want to see what that lift looks like with 33's
