Default 4" Superlift Only

Does anyone have a picture with there ranger sittin on just a superlift 4" lift? Also in comparison to just a t-bar crank is putting the 4" superlift really worth the $1,500? is it noticeably higher? how does it ride compared to just a t-bar crank? Thanks. I have 2.5" blocks in the rear and a t-bar crank right now, is the superlift that + 4" or is it only a net gain of 1.5"?

That someone would be me. Your questions about lifting your Ranger belong in the lifted suspension forum.

Considering it's your only smart option after cranking bars, YES.

is it noticeably higher?
Yes....minimum 3" taller. Can be even taller depending on the torsion crank.

The same or better. Again...depends on where your adjustment bolts on the bars are. And for me, it rode BETTER than stock because of the added tire sidewall.

That plus approx 4" front, 3" rear.

Superlift drops the front suspension about 3.5". The other .5 is from torsion cranking. And you can get much more from more torsion cranking. Superlift tops out at about 5.5" of total lift with maxed bars compared to stock.

Pretty much, if the adjustment bolts are put in the same spot as you've got now, total lift is about 2.5".

Rear done with a 3" block ontop of your stock block(hense the reason it's called a 4/3 lift on superlifts website). This aides in getting the truck level too. But I find maxed bars and SL blocks w/ stock block, the rear is sorta saggy.

can you post some pictures of the undesirable look (that you mentioned in the other thread) that the superlift creates in the front?
Also will the front driveshaft go out even if your not in 4 wheel drive? that might be a retarded question but i would assume that if your not in 4 wheel drive your not using your front driveshaft so it wouldn't die but i could be wrong. other than the new driveshaft are there any other complications or other things i'll have to buy with this lift?

your front driveshaft always spins because you have a live axle setup. So it could go out even in 2wd

you better have the tools to take the shaft off. You can drive with it off and won't have a problem. But if it goes out then you have to take it off or it will keep trying to spin

just imagine unbolting one side of your shaft and trying to drive. It won't work because it will be spinning all over the place. You can usually hear it going out before it gets to that extreme of a point.

haha i'm 16 and i have no clue what unbolting one side of my shaft would do. i understand the basics of the driveshaft but not nearly as much as you. you have to get as basic as possible with me haha. i also won't know what a driveshaft going out sounds like haha. i guess your saying i'll just know?

holy shit casey, perfect description I'd say. lol.

Imagine the the truck shaking violently, feeling like the front suspension is going to fall the fuck off! It'll either do that because of it binding or it'll bind, rip the boot, spew grease everywhere, THEN feel like the entire things gonna break apart. Scary when it happens at 70 like it did to me.

ALWAYS carry an 8mm and a T35(?) socket to remove the stock shaft when it does go. Otherwise, you may have the same 2 hour long tow that I did because I didn't have torx sockets.
