Sad part about that is if you do that, it'll LOWER the truck. About 2". The 2wd guys do it all the time to level the truck out.

Rangers are not like chevy's. Our stuff is already "shackle flipped". Meaning, the shackle is hanging below the hanger. Chevy's are above the hanger. That's why we can use chevy lowering shackles to lift our trucks!

Here's just 2" chevy drop shackles....gave me about 1.5" of lift...

ditto to all that, and I forgot to tell you superlift's are not cheap but it is your only option unless you find a used RCD kit

did you get 1.5" of lift on top of the 3" you got from the superlift to get 4.5" total in the back?

like Camo said.....uhhhh....beyond cranking the bars, there is no "cheap" way to lift the front. Only option is the Superlift.

In one of your other threads, I said I didn't want to stack blocks, so I used an AAL and Shackle to get that 3" of lift.

bigger distance between axle and spring acts like a pendulum when load is applied to the axle(starting from a stop, going up hills, etc) called torsional spring deflection. Leaf actaully turns into an S shape. torsional twist on the leaf spring causes wheel hop. wheel hop = bad. wheelhop = no traction.

as you are true about it actually lowering our trucks even if it is only two inches, you do gain down travel, which is big accomplishment in the desert community, if you flip the shackle with deaver leafs you still retain the stock height, but gain the extra down travel, if you have the right length shocks of course. nice truck by the way
