Hey with that 3" lift it's gonna look weird with stock tires. If I get bigger tires do I need to do anything to the gears or rear end?

What size tires do you want and what gears do you have now?

Rangers come stock with different sized gears. You can find out yours by the sticker on the inside of your driver door.
Heres a chart to help you.

Ok. Its either 3.73 or 4.10s. You should be good with 31s if thats the size you want to go.
