Default why cant i?!?!?!?!?

ok this is getting me very ticked i have a 2wd truck with torsion bars front suspension and i can find a lift kit for my truck. i will not tear up my truck with a body lift(no offense to who does have one) but i want to have something to show if im going to throw money at lifting my truck and a gap between the frame and bed aint gonna work. i have looked everywhere and the only thing i can find is torsion bar keys. and im not to worried about the rear suspension i can find stuff to work. ok so i guess after that little rant my question is can i use a 4wd kit to work on my truck??? or am i screwd cause this sucks going from a 7in lift with 35s to stock sittin on baby tires!!!!! can anyone help me out

I think the 2wd rcd kit is 5 or 6 inches but might just be for coil sprung 2wd's

fabtech makes a 3" spindle and a 2.5" something lift. You can buy there 5.5" ultimate lift or whatever its called and its just a combination of the 3" spindle and 2.5" thing. now you say you have the torsion bars which is weird for a 2wd or i was under that impression. i thought 2wd's had coil-overs and i think the spindle lift only works on coil-overed trucks. if you have torsion bars than the 4 wheel drive lifts (4" superlift and 5.5" RCD) lifts would probably work but i dont know.

ok so i just looked at the camburg kit and the entry level 6.0 kit they want 1700 bucks for the kit and they are out in cali so im already looking at a bit over 2grand then about another 500 or more to have it installed. i would prolly do it myslef but with that much money into a kit id rather have someone else do it cause you have to replace the upper control arms and i dont have a welder so yea thats almost 3grand for a lift kit. thats a bit outta my price range

I know the following companies make lift kits for your truck: Camburg, Blitzkrieg, Procomp, Fabtech, Doestch.

Last two listed are the most popular & least expensive.

thats weird... well obviously none of the 2wd lifts are going to work for you so that leaves you with the 3" BL which you dont want and then the 4" superlift and the 5.5" RCD lift thats discontinued. i say if your gonna do anything go with the 4" superlift and hope to hell that it works. I don't know why the actual front driveshaft and 4x4 stuff would make a difference. i think the 4wd and 2wd are split into different categories because of the torsion bar vs coil-over front suspension. i have no clue how you could verify if the superlift lift will go on your truck tho.

It says it's a 4WD kit, your truck is 2WD so no. I gave you a list of 5 companies that make lift kits for your truck, I would start there.

ok what else will i need to finish the front kit? and how much is that gonna cost????? its already starting to get pricey. if ya know what i mean and our local off road shop LOVES to take advantage of being the only off road shop in north alabama by doubleing their pirces on things such as this and you can argue with them all day and you will loose cause like i said they are the only shop that does what they do around here. so i might spend 1grand on the parts and i will spend about that to have it installed. for example when i bought my roughcountry kit for my old yota i paid about 650 for it and thats including shipping and they wanted about 900 to 1,000 dollars to install it!!!!!!! and i would get my truck for a week. thats why i put it on myslef i ended up kicking myslef for doin it but atleast i got it done in under a week and saved about a grand i might have spent about 30 bucks on sawzall blades and about 20 in wd40 and about 50 in new bushing for upper and lower control arms i still came out ahead
